Confident and Knowledgeable Optical Assistants – Special 2-Day Event

We recently completed our latest 2-day optical assistants training events in South Birmingham and London and the feedback was amazing, everyone had a great 2 days of learning!


The fun interactive training session is spread over two days and is purposely designed to provide optical assistants in becoming more confident and knowledgeable in a patient-facing situation. The event takes the key areas from the first 3 courses. There will be NO role play involved, the event is about making you feel comfortable and relaxed whilst learning how to be CONFIDENT in your role. As well as a general understanding of the world of optics, you will be introduced to dispensing and frame fitting techniques as well as selling to lifestyle and communicating a memorable customer experience. Note that this is not hard selling, it's offering patients an informed choice about their eyewear options from both a visual and fashion style discussion.

  • Learn how to hold the frames correctly before adjusting
  • Be able to undertake general adjustments and setting the frame up for a patient
  • Know how to reduce the length of temple sides for each patient
